Tuga Alaskary

Tuga Alaskary is IRFF’s Technical Specialist for Risk Financing, responsible for leading UNDP’s work on sovereign and sub-sovereign risk financing. She provides representation to Country Offices and through them programme countries to develop and deliver technical risk finance solutions. Tuga has over 12 years of experience in climate and disaster risk financing, previously working for the InsuResilience Global Partnership, Asian Development Bank, World Food Programme and African Risk Capacity. A British-Iraqi dual national, Tuga holds an MSc in Development Studies and a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. She speaks Arabic and English.
