Scholarship Programme for the International Certification in Inclusive Insurance in Tanzania
1. Objective of the Programme
This Scholarship Programme facilitates access to the International Certification in Inclusive Insurance, for insurance practitioners who can potentially champion or make significant contributions to develop products that respond to the real needs of low and middle-income customers as well as micro, small and medium enterprises, therefore, the majority of the population and the economic activity.
The International Certification in Inclusive Insurance is comprised of four in-person training modules spread over a six-month period. Stackable small certifications are granted after successfully completing each module, evolving into a comprehensive certification in inclusive insurance granted upon successfully completing all modules.
Modules will be delivered as follows. Upon any change to the training calendar, participants will get an early notification of the new dates. Check the full programme here.
2. Scope
- 100% scholarships available to cover the costs of the programme for selected insurance practitioners in Tanzania pursuing the complete certificate (4 modules).
- We encourage everybody with the relevant background to apply. Scholarships will be granted to an equal number of men and women.
- We are looking for candidates working in organizations willing to deepen and improve their inclusive insurance practices
3. Eligibility
- Insurance practitioners working in Tanzania.
- Relevant experience and progression in the insurance industry.
- Professional duties related to microinsurance or inclusive insurance/with clear rationale how the training will support the function.
- Interest and engagement in learning more about the insurance industry to make greater contributions.
- In a position to become inclusive insurance champions within their organization.
- Endorsement from employer organization supporting full participation in training.
- Attending an interview with the Selection Committee.
4. Considerations
- Scholarship covers the training tuition and meals provided by the training institute.
- Scholarship will be directly transferred to the training institute, in disbursements dependent on confirmation of the scholarship recipient’s attendance to each module.
- The Scholarship will be suspended if the recipient fails to complete a module.

- Relevant Education certificates and at least three insurance certifications of similar nature.
- Letter of endorsement from your organization. If you prefer, you may use this template or adapt it - Please make sure it is signed, dated, and institutionally branded.
6. Selection Process
- Only complete applications submitted through the link provided in <4. Application Procedure> will be considered.
- During the selection process, candidates will be requested to attend an interview with the Selection Committee to share more about their background, their current activities, or future expectations.
- Candidates will be notified of the results via email.
